On February 22nd, 2011, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake ripped through the centre of Christchurch followed by severe aftershocks, destroying a city, a community, and the lives of thousands of people.
Levi’s® Skateboarding we were able to give back to a community in need, building a DIY Skate park in Christchurch for the city’s youth.
Levi’s® Skateboarding ambassadors Joey Pepper, Marius Syvanen, Al Partanen, Dan Plunkett, Josh Matthews and Pat Moran all flew from various parts of the United States to help with this project and to witness first hand the destruction five years on in Christchurch.
A huge thanks to the awesome team at Monster Children for capturing this build and the voices of the youth of Christchurch so well.
