St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival 2017 – Auckland

Community, collaboration, self-expression and fun.

Laneway Festival was born from the inner suburban streets of Melbourne, and has blossomed into an international event that is built on the above four pillars. With that in mind, it was only fitting that Levi’s got in on the action in 2017.

As the various artists made their way from Footscray’s back streets to the proud Albert Park Precinct of Auckland, it seemed the Australian summer sun also made the journey – with lucky festival-goers greeted by a perfect 26 degree day.

From home grown talent K2K and Fortunes, to international visitors Nick Murphy, DMA’s and Flight Facilities – the action-packed afternoon ended in an explosion of color and nostalgia, with Australia’s Tame Impala owning the main stage as the final act of the night.

Sunshine and artists aside, perhaps the most noteworthy visitor to this year’s event (we’re not biased at all…) was the Levi’s® Tailor Shop – open and operating on New Zealand soil for the first time ever.

The Levi’s® Tailor Shop was buzzing from the time the gates opened, and we loved having the opportunity to customise the denim of such a fashion forward crowd.

All in all, we had a blast.

See you again soon, New Zealand!
